DATE CHANGE FOR JJ TATE CLINIC!

Good Morning,

Due to a conflict in JJ Tate's schedule, we had to change the date of the OVCTA JJ Tate clinic. The new date is now May 4-5.

Attached are the flyer and entry forms with the new date. I am very sorry to have to make this change so close to the clinic date and after the opening date. If you have already sent your entry to me, please let me know as soon as you can if the date change causes any problems for you or you would like to scratch the entry.

I am happy to work with you if you need a particular day or time in the weekend. I am still giving members priority in entries this week, but I encourage non-members to send their entries to me even before the April 8 opening date so that I have them in hand and can more quickly get a number count. Please pass the word about the date change to anyone who may be interested. So sorry to have to make this change on such short notice.

Thank you

Mounted Clinics And Sports Psychology Seminars
With Daniel Stewart
Former USET Coach, Author and International Clinician
Saturday, Jan 19th: 12:30-5:30 Video Analysis Clinic    6:00-8:00pm Sports Psychology Seminar Part 1
Sunday: Jan 20th:     8:30-12:30 Clinic Part 2        12:30 to 2:30 Sport Psychology Seminar Part 2
Daniel Stewart has been a successful international trainer and instructor for over 20 years.  From 2000 to 2006 he coached riders on several US Equestrian Teams to success at World Championships, World Equestrian Games and Olympics.  As the internationally acclaimed author of “Ride Right” he’s widely considered one of the world’s leading experts on equestrian sport psychology, biomechanics, and athletics.  Stewart has been the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper articles and is a regular presenter on the Horse Radio Network as their equestrian sport psychology and performance expert.  For more information visit: www.stewartclinics.com.

Equestrian Sport Psychology Seminar Part 1 & Part 2
A fun, informative and humorous look at Equestrian Sport Psychology… learn stress management, positive thinking, goal-setting and visualization techniques to help maximize your success, enjoyment and confidence while minimizing stress, fear and performance anxiety from all your riding and showing experiences.  This seminar is split over the two days.

Video Analysis Clinics (mounted)
This clinic is designed to help riders identify and solve imperfections that affect their performance and success by letting them watch and analyze themselves on videotape – frame-by-frame. When an imperfection is identified Coach Stewart will explain the cause and the many possible solutions. Immediately after the analysis your riders will start improving their position by riding in a 45-minute follow-up lesson with Coach Stewart.

Pressure Proof Clinics (mounted)
Seven unique mental preparation clinics – called “Pressure Proof” clinics – have been designed to teach you how to control pressure, stress, doubt and performance anxiety (in your practices) so that you’ll know how to overcome them in your competitions. This clinic teaches the riders the value of confidence and overcoming show jitters, but the pressure is such that the riders are "forced" to remember their horse (stay balanced and in control instead of panicky and rushed).

Fees and Schedule For The Day
The Video Analysis clinic will be Saturday from 12:30-5:30, followed by part 1 of the Sports Psychology Seminar from 6:00-8:00.  Sunday, based on interest, we will either hold a second Video Analysis clinic or a Pressure Proof Clinic from 8:30-12:30, followed by part 2 of the Sports Psychology Seminar.  Indicate on your entry form which clinic(s) you would like to ride in.
Riders will ride twice in each clinic and may ride both days.  There will be a maximum of 10 riders per day.  Light hot and cold refreshments will be provided.
Fee will be $160 per rider for each day, which includes attending both seminars.   Auditing is $40 for both days or $25 for one day.  The forms below needs to be returned with the releases signed prior to the clinic.  Auditors – you must also pre-register and must also sign release!
For times, registration form and additional information contact:  Nancy Ligon  at: Nancy@FireflyFarm.net  or at 610-585-7907.  Times will be scheduled three days before and e-mailed to you.

Welcome to Strudel!

I want to Congratulate Nina on the addition of Kent's Baron Von Strudel to her family. After a long search, Strudel has found himself to be one of the latest members of the Firefly Family. We are all looking forward to the future with this pair and know they will be wonderful together.
